Terms & Conditions
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these please contact one of our customer service team on 01209 821408 before placing an order with us.
These Terms and Conditions and your use of our web site are governed by United Kingdom law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the UK court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.
This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under UK law.
Payment Options
We accept all major credit and debit cards (no minimum) and our website uses a secure payment system operated by WorldPay. This ensures the highest possible level of security and fraud protection available for all our customers. All transactions are in pounds sterling (£). Cheques can be accepted but orders will not be despatched until payment has been cleared by our Bank.
Delivery Charges
These are automatically added to the cost of the product as part of the process of submitting an order.
Application of Value Added Tax (VAT)
VAT is included in the cost of each product, where applicable
Availability of Goods
We endeavour to display through this website all items in our current range. We aim to hold stock of all products, however occasionally an item will be out of stock and if this is the case this will normally be indicated on the website. Some products are based on weight and may be subject to variation depending on the exact weight of that product. We will always endeavour to achieve exact weights but as these are hand cut they may occasionally vary
Order and Delivery Confirmation
As soon as an order using our automated shopping basket system has been submitted the customer will receive an email containing order confirmation and details of the order.
Once the goods have been despatched confirmation will be e mailed to you. This contains tracking information and the date and latest time we expect the courier to deliver the goods to the customer. From this point it becomes the customer's responsibility to track their delivery on the courier's website
Delivery Policy
Any dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. If for any reason we are unable to despatch the goods within the agreed timescale we will immediately notify you. In the event of a delivery not arriving within the quoted time Primrose Herd will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by either the customer or a third party.
Primrose Herd’s UK Mainland deliveries are made by APC Couriers. We deliver our products in specially designed containers to anywhere in the mainland UK. Deliveries are attempted at least once on the planned day of delivery. Our courier will require a signature in order to leave the delivery and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that someone is at the delivery address and is able to sign for the parcel. If no one is available at the delivery address our courier may deliver the package to a neighbouring house and will post full instructions for collection on a delivery card at the delivery address. If it is not possible to deliver the package on the day of delivery our courier will return the package to the local APC depot and attempt to deliver on the next working day. Thereafter parcels must be collected from the local delivery depot by the Customer.
It is the customer's responsibility to track their delivery on the couriers website from time of receipt of our shipping email and if necessary to arrange to collect the parcel from the depot (if the courier has been unable to make the delivery). Primrose Herd will accept no liability for non delivery of goods or for contents of parcels delivered late if the customer has failed to track the parcel or failed to take prompt action to recover the goods from the depot. We will not accept liability for non delivery of goods if the address information supplied by the customer is incomplete and results in the courier being unable to find the delivery location. If the customer fails to arrange to sign for receipt of the goods when the courier attempts to make a delivery no liability will be incurred.
